The process- 1. Find a partner: Since Sam was the closes to me so we became partners.
2. Decide on what to write and how to make it a bit more interesting: Short and simple introduction
3. Comple our introduction and choose web hosting server
4. Final changes
5. Blogging
My first main task is to learn and use the correct codes to create a html page. I was totally clueless of how to create an html page until I was thought to do it during Introduction to IT class, at first it was rather confusing but thanks to all the lab exercise it became easier. Uploading images was a challenge to me because I wasn't aware of what the codes were which was why my pictures usually don't appear but after some help from my friend, I was able to do it.The reason why my image never appears is because i forgot to code the folder my picture was in.Uploading images was one thing, learning how to link it was another. I could not understand what "linking" was all about and how it worked but thank god my partner knows a lot about this sort of stuff and so she tought me. Besides that, I've also learned how to apply font colors like Aqua and Powder Blue for my introduction and use different font type.Overall, learning how to create a html was challenging but it was also fun as well as interesting.
Searching for the most suitable web host server was not a problem but registering for one wasn't easy. For this part, my partner came over to my place to do it together and we manage to register in bravehost.com.We tested it by uploading one of our lab exercise and it was a success, however later on my partner suggested to use another web hosting server because there was advertisement's in our bravehost webpage mayb due to the fact that it's free which is why we decided to register at webs.com but it can only be used ones and after that no alteration can be done. Blogging wasn't really my kind of thing and I just discovered that i actually have one since 2007. So for this assignment I tried using it and I did two post just to get the hang of it. At first it was like a nightmare for i did not know what function is what but after trying twice I think I am getting better at it. Also, I just discovered(during this report) that my post can be saved first if I have not finish writing, so convenient.
To conclude, this assignment was not easy at first but once things are more clear it was not to bad. Learning how to create a html and uploading it was something worth learning and having a blog is actually rather interesting. If I could do something different, I would play more with the font's and color as well as the layout of the webpage but because I'm still not that good at html I should not confuse myself more.So this is our final product which me and Sam have tried really hard to get it done as good as possible.
